This is a post to inform the Council that I, Councilor Devlin, will be unable to continually check these pages for updates on schedules and gaming notes, as I will no longer have a computer with which to accomplish this feat. Because of this, I will be endeavouring to phone all parties involved in gaming to figure out where in the Christ I should be, and when, that I may continue gaming.
I will not be making the plans, however.
That falls to the Storyteller.
And as it sits, Weebo is the interim Chairman.
That will be all.
Cheers.
-Councilor Devlin

I'll not be storytelling for the group at large for some time now.
And after careful consideration, I doubt as I'll be running the short, more intimate three-man-sessions with M'lady Manyana and Councilor White either.
It simply isn't fair to exclude part of the group who heretofor remain blameless.
So, until I can find a reason to ST again, I am on indefinate hiatus.
Councilor Weebo's on the block this friday with his Aberrant campaign. Start thinking of characters.
-Councilor Devlin, former Chairman

I don't even know if I have it in me to storytell anymore...
Ladies and gentlemen of the Council, I propose the activities for this Friday. As we will be putting the last session of the Nephandus campaign on hold until next Friday, we need to find shit to do. Lady Manyana, of all people, has voiced that we should be getting together anyway, watching movies, playing Star Wars, or drinking our faces off until we puke in a potted plant, BYOB.
Councilor Weebo has offered his place, though I'm certain that is under the condition of no vomitting in potted plants... his potted flora is pretty interesting, so we should avoid soiling it with our guts.
Anyway, so, I am perfectly capable of running the first Act of my newly forming Star Wars campaign, if that's what people decide upon. Let me know by Friday, and I'll bring what gear we need.
Being as I've got that day off, as does Councilor Weebo, and Lady Manyana, I propose the three of us get together earlier in the day, ((Councilor Weebo has offered to pick the Lady up)) as Councilor Weebo and I will both be awake from our conversations the evening prior. At this, we'll associate, shoot the proverbial shit, chew the fat of the same variety, and such-what so-forth.
Comments?
-Chairman Devlin

Update for yesterday...

Prince Hayden Wyrmfoe, leader of the Garou Nation was discovered to be the only one of the werewolves not under the sway of Nephandus. He was, however, leading them to Nephandus' whims, as that is what his people wanted. During the lunar eclipse, however, Emilia played the Harmony Flute for the entire nation, diminishing their Rage that they might see the proceedings of a Challenge. Claus fought Wyrmfoe, with the help of Paul, and won. The Garou were broken from Nephandus' poisonous influence, and the Garou Nation joined the Compact.
The Mages, once they discovered that the Compact was no longer harboring Sin, joined as well, seeking to drive this threat off together, once and for all. The Euthanatos tradition, however, did not join. They left.
Control, the head of the Order of Reason, also pitched the support of the Technocracy behind the Compact.
Finally, the PC's managed to convince Prince Devlin to unite as many vampires under his banner as possible. A rather simple task for the old vampire.
Todd, also known as Lucifer, managed to gather a good many demons to his banner... those still loyal to the Crimson and Iron legions.
Unfortunately, the enormity of Nephandus' army was revealed by Control. They are, as Paul so aptly put it, an army of "Infinite cubed". There are a lot.
Worse than that, even, it was discovered near the end that, in a rather literal sense, God is dead. Nephandus attacked heaven with, effectively, a Faith Bomb, and smote the thining portion of the Creator. Heaven is falling, and to add evidence to this fact, the Wyrm and it's creator now reside therein.
So, now, the party collected to go forth and destroy Nephandus is made up of the following: Warchief Darren LaBonte, Sir Jason White, Donovan, Paul Marshall of the Dead Armies, and Warmaster Claus Von Liptenstien.
The collected armies of Earth will gather and face off against the insurmountable forces of Nephandus in less than twelve hours, while the party of Earth's Last Hope squares off against Nephandus himself.

I hope you guys have a really good plan, because I'm not pulling any punches on this one.
-Chairman Devlin

To address...

Gaming on Friday shall continue, as per schedule, for all of those available to attend. The scheudling problem was brought up before anyone could deal with it in a satisfactory or timely manner, and so it is better to continue on, and try to pick up with Fahrim next week.
Mr. Devlin urges all involved to make clear precisely the problems and complications of their schedules earlier in the week, that they may be considered according to the schedule.
Again, however, next week, Mr. Devlin is only available for role-playing on Friday. We can see as this will be leading to some major complications.
He has already considered every available option to the contrary, and come up with nothing more suitable than this:
Gaming, on Friday, April 15th, will be held at Councilor White's abode. Councilor Schaub will meet Councilor White no later than three-thirty at the Corner Tramps to be picked up and relocated to Councilor White's home.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but this avoidable tragedy shall hopefully be learned from.
-From the desk of Chairman Devlin

Certain complications...

As I'm certain you're all aware, Lady Manyana is most heinously sick with mono. This is a rather unfortunate illness coming at a rather unfortunate time in the story. ((Don't get me wrong, I have bargeloads of sympathy for her, and wish her a speedy recovery. My only concern is not always just the story... just usually.))
Anyway, because of this illness, she can't roleplay. Being unable to speak will do that to her. So, I'm going to sit down and figure out, with her, what she would like to see out of her character, and I'll roleplay him from there. After that, we'll continue with the story, business as usual, and hopefully I'll be able to keep it on track despite this.
Comments, questions?
-Chairman Devlin

April first, Friday. We will be gaming at Councilor White's house. For those, such as myself, who may have a difficult time getting there, we shall meet at my abode at exactly three-thirty, not a moment later. From there, we shall locomote to his place. If there are any questions or comments to this, do let me know. Though I highly doubt they'll be received in time to cause an addendum, naturally. Note, we will not be sticking around past three thirty. Unless you can somehow make other arrangements to be picked up, or to drop yourself off at his place in this time, you're SOL if you're late.
-Chairman Devlin

Nephandus Campaign

Update on what happened yesterday...
Laerties, a Nephandic Virtual Adept, had been confronted, as he was attempting to gather up the souls of a great many mages across the globe, and rip them inside out. This would cause a forced Nephandic situation, though as we all know, one cannot become Nephandi unwillingly. What would they have to gain by holding the power of these corrupted souls, unwilling? Hmm... very curious. Anyway, he's stuck in his Gameboy now, which is being handed off to Harmony for safe keeping.
Along the way, the Crucible/Motley/Cabal/Group came across Tempus, the demon responsible for the destruction of the Spark of God... Faith. After showing him what the Abyss was, ((as he was absent at that time)), and showing him that it was to that he was condemning the Earth... well, he changed his tune, did what he could, and then nothinged himself. Poof. Not even a memory...
Claus got tied to a chair in the Zepplin, otherwise he would have left... to who knows where. He's kind of irritable right now.
Sin docked up some major Resonance.
Darren came across... Darren. They chatted, and parted ways. Where will this mysterious figure from Darren Jr.'s past lead him? Curious.
And speaking of mysterious members of his past, Moe also arrived, and challenged Lady Leona of House Liam in the debate. He is now the running contender for the title, "General of the Commoner Free State". He's also a bleeding prick who bit Darren mighty hard.
So, there's yer recap. I miss anything?

Ladies and gents...

So, Councillor Schaub ran a prelimenary Aberrant session. We did this under the supposition that the Aberrant campaign was next to be run because Dave would otherwise be absent for gaming on the tenth. Now, looking at my calender, the tenth falls on a Thursday. Ergo, Dave needn't miss gaming.
This begs the question, possums, what campaign are we doing this coming week? Are we running the Aberrant campaign to it's conclusion, or are we going to do the Nephandus campaign. I leave it up to the lot of you. Cast your votes. Voting ends at 12:01am Thursday. Good day.
-Chairman Devlin

The idea for my Aberrant character...

Sergeant Thomas Grave, ex-special forces operative for the United States military. He worked with the Army, and later, the Marines, for the better part of his life, up until he was sent to oversee the evacuation of several baseline survivors from a dangerously hostile Nova-Level conflict in China.
His team's plane was shot down just over the Yang-Zhi river by one of the Nova terrorists endeavouring to usurp control of the nation. Sgt. Grave was the only survivor.
The Chinese military found him and his downed craft, and saw his mere presence as a threat to their sovereignty by the United States. Regardless of the fact that he continually told them that he was there to help, the detained him, and then arressted him on the grounds of International Espionage. While in the Chinese prisons, Sgt. Grave was tortured mercilessly, his captors trying to discover his true agenda. It wasn't until the enemy brought in a psychic Nova to pry the "truth" from his skull that they discovered that they had kept him unjustly all this time.
At this point, it would have been a disasterous mistake for the Chinese government to return Thomas to his people, as that would certainly be looked upon as incompetence. An undesirable outcome, considering they barely retained the rule of their country after the Nova attack.
Instead, they thought to dispose of him, quickly and quietly, though do to the particulars of International Law, they couldn't very well put a bullet in his head. Instead, they took him to the Himalayan Mountain Range, and dumped him naked and weaponless atop its unforgiving peaks, leaving him for dead.
The Chinese underestimated Sgt. Grave's resolve, as well as his survival skills, however, and he lived for three weeks before finally succumbing to exhaustion. As he passed out atop the slopes of Everest, his MR Node erupted, leaving him unconscious, but alive... and glowing like a beacon on the mountain face.
A U.S. spy within the Chinese government had already tipped them off that Sgt. Grave was dumped in the mountains, but was alive. They had been searching for weeks... but the Himalayas are a large range, and they were ready to give up. After all, no man could have survived this long. Until they saw the beacon.
They rescued the newly erupted Nova, bringing him back to the safety of American Soil, with commendations and honors befitting his struggle. He swiftly joined up with a Nova-Level task force upon his recovery, eager to continue serving his country. Now, he is here.
Powers: Sgt. Grave has exhibited the usage of only two Nova powers. One is Bioluminesence, gained through a need to be seen, and to survive, atop those brutal peaks. The second power, though he isn't even aware he possesses it, is the Mind Block power. Through his torturous trials at the hands, and mind, of the Chinese Psychic Interrogators, his mind swiftly grew a defense to such intrusions.
Beyond that, his physical abilities have skyrocketed, leaving him with several Mega-Attributes as well as a slough of talent in skills he previously was only mediocre at.
Backgrounds: Sgt. Grave possesses a good deal of Node, Resources, and Backing. As well, to a lesser degree, Contacts, and Cypher.
Beyond that, his Quantum Rating won't be ludicrously high, as it's not required. Further, his Taint rating will be surprisingly low. He would, in fact, be a perfect go-between for a baseline-Nova interaction, as he's close enough to human to forget that he's a Nova, but still knows the Nova point of view.
So, there you have it. Any comments?
-Chairman Devlin

The end of Orpheus...

As you may have guessed, the Orpheus campaign went in a direction entirely seperate from the one I thought it would take... But it did so with an elegance and cool aplomb that I found befitting of the situation.
Indeed, Nephandus was behind a great deal of the strife your characters went through... However, though you did not destroy him, or defeat him, you have all seen to his future hindrance, at the very least. You see, when he spoke to you all as a group, and stated that only one among you was worth saving, he wasn't far off the mark. Evil does call to it's own, after all, and the rest of you were tainted enough by greed, hate, self-depreciation, and other such emotions that Nephandus could have easily facilitated the swift and immutable destruction of your souls with little effort. However, in imbuing Paul with your life-essences, you've given him the ability and opportunity to stop this horror from wreaking whatever destruction it has planned on the world.
I do hope everyone enjoyed this short campaign... I look forward to the next one.
-Chairman Devlin
